This CD is a fine combination of the “trinity” of great songs: lyrics, vocals and music. I put on Buddy Jewels’ CD Bluebonnet Highway and wow I am blown away by some awesome southern country songs. I love to listen to some good music while cooking. I start chopping up the “trinity” (onions, bell pepper and celery) and adding all the ingredients: a dark roux, shrimp, crabs, and smoked sausage to cook down into a flavorful pot of Gumbo. It’s a cold wintry day and I feel like eating a hot steaming bowl of Louisiana Gumbo.
